EPOP is CU Boulder’s student-run pop-up shop where Environmental Product Design students transform reclaimed materials into limited-edition products, debuting each November at Boulder’s Firefly Handmade Market. From the goods on the shelves to the shop itself, every detail is designed and built by students—showcasing how creativity can give waste its next life.
More than a shop, EPOP is a course within the Dept. of Environmental Design. It gives EPOD students hands-on, experiential learning that combines classroom concepts with real-world impact. By designing, making, and selling products to the public, students discover how sustainable design is practiced while gaining the entrepreneurial skills to shape the future.
